Our Graphic Artists create signage in-store ranging from large, hanging banners to small printed price signs to hand illustrated chalks. Much of the work of this position is the actual hand-production of our signs, including printing, laminating, trimming, and distributing signs to the departments throughout the store. There are opportunities for designing creative banners and posters within the guidelines of our brand standards and seasonal marketing programs. The Graphic Artist will typically work 40 hours per week and, since it’s a retail-based position, is expected to work at least one day of the weekend.
This is a very fast-paced environment, great for a quick learner with great people skills. This position is charged with quick turn times, lots of requests from different directions, and requires excellent organization and time management skills as well.

NOLA Couture is seeking a Graphic Design Associate for the summer of 2013. Our brand is inspired by New Orleans and the Gulf Coast and focuses on whimsical prints and bright color pallets. This hands-on experience is a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of graphic design. Associates will be involved in the creative process from sample to production as well as help with the daily operations.
Overview:
– Market the NOLA Couture brand through the use of graphic design
– Design marketing materials and strategies
– Take and edit photos for website, social media, and marketing use
– Assist in design developments for new artwork layouts and textiles
– Update linesheets and media press kits
– Complete general administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
– Relevant portfolio samples (any file type)
– Creative eye
– Self-motivated and responsible
– Background in graphic design, visual arts, and/or communications preferred
– Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and/or InDesign

The UnShow competition celebrates all forms of expression on any uncoated paper (not just Neenah). Neenah covers your entry fee to make it FREE for you to enter one or multiple projects. The UnShow web site will be open for public voting, as designers across the world vote for the top 25 entries in each category. These entries will then be submitted to a selected jury of design judges. Two winners in each category will receive $500 in cash and have their image published in HOW Magazine. In addition, one overall grand prize winner will be selected and receive $1,000 in cash, plus admission to the HOW Design Conference 2013, to be held at the Moscone West in San Francisco, CA, from June 22-26, 2013. After the online voting process has identified the finalists, Neenah’s judging panel will select 2 images to be the contest’s winners in the following categories:
